STUART, FL. – On February 21st through 25th, 2011, Debbie Roberts. (Licensed massage therapist) L.MT, of Massage & Fitness Professionals of the Treasure Coast presented a certified continuing education unit (CEU) seminar to 26 LMTs on the cruise ship Navigator of the Sea. The LMTs traveled to Jamaica and Haiti and received 16 CEUs learning more about flexibility through the LMT Success Group.

Students were afforded an opportunity to attend class for two days, and were encouraged to relax for the remaining two. In attendance were LMTs that were cruising for the second and third time with the LMT Success Group. Everyone had an excellent time, and learned much to take back to their practices. The trip included students from Canada, Alaska, Indiana, Minnesota, and several from Florida. They were all looking forward to the next one.

Because nationally certified massage therapists must earn CEUs every four years to retain certification status, massage seminars, and workshops such as this provided ample training opportunities to both the professional massage therapist and the curious alike.
